The Chinese American Museum held its 23rd Annual Historymakers Awards Gala at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites in Los Angeles on the night of September 19, 2019. Five professional ladies and a non-profit organization were recognized as honoree by the conference. Former California Finance Minister Jiang Junhui, California Rep. Zhou Benli, Deputy Consul General of the Chinese Consulate in Los Angeles, Dai Shuangming, etc. were invited as honorary guests. Many elected officials came to congratulate the winners, and nearly 600 people attended the event.

President of the Friend of the Chinese American Museum Guiming Ruan said, it is a pleasure to have five wonder ladies as the honoree. They have all been leaders and played important roles in their own field. The Non-Governmental Organization Morning Light Foundation has made outstanding contributions for the education of both American students and Chinese students for ten more years.
Ruan has expressed his appreciation for support and sponsorship from every community that led to the smooth holding of Annual Historymakers Award Gala.
Among five honoree, attorney Elizabeth Yang has been award with Judge Ronald S.W. Lew Visionary Award. She said, giving rather than receiving makes her happier. As a volunteer working in carious NGOs, being able to help others is the biggest blessing for her.
Attorney Elizabeth Yang specialized in Intellectual property rights, family law and business law. As the founder of Law and Mediation Offices of Elizabeth Yang, she has offices in Los Angeles, Monterey Park, Irvine and Taipei. Before she became an attorney, she was an electric engineer who worked for Raytheon Company for the design of Radar system of B-2 Stealth Bomber. In 2017, she published her first book 《The Big Secret》 which told her story of developing and exploring the other side of her ability. It has became best seller only one week after being available. In 2018, she published her second book 《Stress-Free Divorce》.
